I get some dips to 60FPS here and there such as the bigger populated city areas. Not that strong since I have around 30FPS more at all times compared to the other PCs but that stutter and FPS slowdown we all describe in some locations is still there. It seems like changing the sound settings in windows to 44100khz also seems to make a small difference? 3-5FPS but maybe placebo or randomness.Īside of that I also have this problem on my other PC with RTX 2070. I will investigate a bit more about this issue because I still think that is a engine/system conflict with something. The fullscreen mode change gave me the biggest FPS boost and with it this low FPS drops happen a lot less. Of course these are just workarounds I suspect and not a definitive fix. Dont use that adaptive FPS quality setting, it causes even more stutter ingame because the game changes the details on the fly all the time If you have G-Sync, take advantage of it and use fullscreen mode and disabled ingame vsync, also change max FPS to 120 (Seems like you cant completely disable the framelimit, only set it to the highest which is 120) I also recommend to not set TXAA sharpness higher than 5 or it flickers
Shadow and HBAO+ settings are the most demanding and lowering them helps a lot, at least on lower gaming rigs, makes no difference on my RTX 2070 Fullscreen mode runs WAY better than Borderless
